We will leave Seville around 8:30 am and aim to reach the border at around 11:30 am. Once we have crossed the border we will visit the main tourist attractions of Gibraltar. Through this, we will get a real sense of one of the most southern parts of Europe. We will then travel to the nature reserve where we will make a stop at the legendary pillar of Hercules. Our journey will then proceed to the caves of San Miguel, an incredible cave in the heart of “La Roca” which translates directly as “The Rock”. La Roca has some incredible formation such as stalactites and stalagmites. Visitors will get the opportunity to see the apes of Gibraltar; these are the only ones that roam freely in the European continent. The tour of the nature reserve will conclude with a visit to the “losTúneles del Gran Asedio” which translates to “tunnels of the great siege”. The tunnels were excavated in the 18th century by English Soldiers who were in a battle with Spanish troops.

After the tour along the top, visitors will have time to visit Main Street which is renowned for its range of shops and second-hand markets. It´s a great place to find some bargains and has really put Gibraltar on the map. After enjoying some free time we will then return to Seville.

My small travel group (2 adults, 14 year old son) got picked up from our hotel within 10 minutes of the promised time. Our friendly guide Enrique introduced himself and ushered us to the van. We were the last ones to be picked up, as the passenger van already had a couple other groups in it. We loaded in and were off to Gibraltar. It was about a 2 hour drive through the beautiful Spanish countryside. We made 1 stop for a bathroom/snack break on the way. We arrived just across the border from Gibraltar and had to wait for traffic to move a bit before we could get to the car park. From the car park, we walked as a group across the border and through the passport control. Immediately on the other side of the border, a taxi guide van was waiting for us to take us on our tour. This was much much much more efficient than waiting in traffic to cross the border and we were thankful that this transfer was arranged so that our time in Gibraltar would be maximized. Our tour guide/driver in Gibraltar was Juan Carlos, who drove, talked, and joked with us for the duration of the tour around the Rock. We stopped at the pillars of Hercules, then on to St Michaels Cave (self guided tour). Then up to a huge gun/battery lookout — the weather was amazingly clear and we could see Africa, the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Absolutely gorgeous. Then it was on to a stop for some more views on the east side, looking straight down to the resort below, and to see the monkeys. Juan Carlos had the monkeys doing tricks and jumping on/off the van. The final stop on the rock was at the Siege Tunnels, where we had about 20 minutes to explore. Then, down to the town for lunch and to explore the town on our own. We had about 2 hours for that which was the perfect amount of time. Once our group met up, we headed back across the border which was only about a 10 minute walk. We did have to wait to cross the runway as a plane was landing. Then back into the van to drive back to Seville.

I gave this review 4 stars because the tour and logistics were very smooth, well coordinated and efficient. We felt we had sufficient time at each tour stop and our guide was entertaining and informative. Communication was good, we always knew what was going on, what to expect, etc. One thing that could be improved — we traveled in a 9 person van and there were 9 total people — which required 3 people in front which was a very tight fit. 8 people would have been more comfortable.

I would definitely recommend this tour and this tour guide company!

Great tour from Sevilla to Gibraltar
Our guide was Miguel. We were 4 couples in a minibus. We crossed by foot to Gibraltar and a second guide took over. They were excellent. What a great tour. We went by bus on top of the rock, we visited the caves and the tunnels, we saw lot of monkeys and both guides did a great job to make this tour really enjoyable. We received lot of information and this tour for us was really worth every dollar we spent. I really recommend it.
